Within Apex, Edit Contacts Utility appears not to be working?

Referring to the attached photo of my .bdf, it looks like the 2 contacts (denoted with XXXXX_T) don't have an associated BCBDPRP along with a friction coefficient. I made these independent ties, then followed the video guide on using the Edit Contact utility to switch them to touching and input a friction. I know it does something since it renames the ties with _G or _T, but looking through the .bdf it looks like they are all still glued. Am I misunderstanding the .bdf?

Thanks!

  • I've just noticed that the path to the file it's using isn't the right one. It should be using the script in

    C:\Users\elijah.lamppin\Documents\MSC_Apex Workspace\Custom Tools 2021.1\Apex Utilities\Interoperability\Export\ExportUtils\src

This should be accessible from the Interoperability Tools icon on the custom tools strip:

What does your set of custom tool icons look like? I think (but correct me if I'm wrong!) that you may be accessing that tool from an extra Utilities icon (just below the ones in that screenshot) that shouldn't actually be there - it's a duplication of some of the tools and has older versions. I'm not sure why it's there - it may be something I hacked into my installation at some point. If that's the case I can only apologise for the confusion.

If I'm right, then you can switch off the the extra icon in the Application Settings by unselecting the Utilities item, like so:
