I am trying to calculate the fatigue damage (random analysis) and the model is already setup using abaqus. I want to see if I can run the model again using Nastran (if possible after converting) or review the results and extract the RMS and zero crossing
The input (.inp) files can be imported in to Patran.
Different versions of Patran support different versions of .odb files. So, first check the version of odb supported by the version of Patran version you have. Every Patran "Release Guide" has this information. If your odb version is supported in your Patran version then it can be imported.
From my experience an alternative to the Patran internal Abaqus translator (.inp) could be the Nastran abq2nas translator. It creates an Nastran input deck which might then be imported into Patran.
