  • If you change the 'Number of Frames' in the box you can set it to as many frames as you want for MPEG videos. The more frames used, the smoother the animation will appear, however practical limits such as available memory and model size will quickly dictate the limit. If VRML output is requested, then the maximum number of frames allowed is 120. If you already tried this but the video is still limited to a set number of frames it could be due to a corrupted database which can be fixed by closing this Patran window, opening a new db and importing old db (Import>MSC.Patran db) into the new db.
  • Thank you for the quick response. I have had success with this when generating an MPEG for a deformation or fringe plot individually, and can increase the number of frames.
My problem is when I try to generate an MPEG for a quickplot with both deformation AND fringe results included. It does not allow me to adjust the number of frames and limits them to the number of load/time increments that was defined for the solution (again, this is a MARC non-linear result file). This would be fine if it would record ALL of the frames, but it is only saving the first half of the total number of frames.
