About thermal analysis in Geostationary Transfer Orbit

I am analyzing a satellite in Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO).

I would like to do a thermal analysis in GTO, is there any way to simulate it?

I would like to achieve this using Partan.

Should I ask this question on the Nastran forums?

In general for the satellite orbital thermal analysis it requires some kind of software such as Thermica take cares of orbital mechanic such as orbital radius, launch date, inclination angle so that the program will compute the orbital heating (heat flux as a function of time into the satellite), solar eclipse, earth infrared, and albedo fluxes.

However, you can do some simple calculation to get that without the orbital program to start.

We have discontinue the SINDA product that used PATRAN/SINDA thermal along with Thermica for the detailed Satellite thermal analysis as end of last year.

Here is an example of using MSC/NASTRAN thermal analysis. Assumed that you know how the heat flux varies as a function of time, you an run the transient thermal analysis. I have also included the NASTRAN thermal bdf file.

I will try to run the heat flox varies as a function of time.

Please tell me how to heat flox varies with time in Patran.

I have the manual for Nastran, but I can't find the manual for Patran.

Sorry, please tell me how to do it.

If you don't mind, could you also tell me how to get the Patran manual?
