I'm hoping someone can help. I have been using and programming PC-DMIS for about a year and my company is thinking of buying a Wenzel, which uses Open DMIS, instead of the B&S that I want. Does anybody know anything about the machine or software? Any help would be appreciated.
Open DMIS is essentailly a 1990's software with a bitching graphics interface. It is far inferior to Pc-Dmis. Wenzels are good machines and built mechanically sound however they are much slower than a Global with no better accuracy. They are probably thinking of a Wenzel from a price standpoint as they are willing to deeply discount their machines in order to penetrate the market. Stay with what you've got.

I know. I'm sorry that people have ruined some of our freedoms here. Everyone who tries to get banned or bullies others just makes it harder to have a free and fun place. I don't think some people understand how much on their side I am. This is a place to discuss PC-DMIS... not for personal agendas. I definitely apologize if I bend anyone in trying to make sure people don't take advantage of their freedoms.

But I am aware of more than one person who did. I have to try and be fair in the application of the rules. It's not easy. It's old news now, and not relevant to this thread.
