Education

Worked as a machinist for 18 years, then moved into quality12 years ago, where I was introduced to the wonderful world of CMM's.Making a long story short, I am now flailing away on a Browne & Sharpe Global using 2009MR1, with a LEVEL 1 class under my belt.I recently tried to register for the LEVEL 2 class, only to be told that I WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER WITHOUT THE LATEST VERSION OF SOFTWARE, which has my employer looking at other software options.Curious if anyone else has had this terrific experience when if comes to supported (or unsupported) software.

  • Not true. You can register for a class no matter what software you are using. I even double checked with Rhonda, and she took a call from someone this morning saying that, and she told them that they could register no matter what version they were using.

It IS TRUE that we teach in the latest released version however, which I think makes sense to everyone.

We can also quote you onsite specific training for your needs, we do hundreds of these classes a month. Rhonda can help you at 248-449-9450 get the training you want.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you for checking Brian. She called a few hours ago to explain that there had been a mistake, and I was free to enroll , which I will certainly take advantage of at a later date. I may be naive, but I'm thinking that 2009MR1 is close enough that I will be able to shift gears from classroom back to place of employment.
Sadly for many of us, the cost of a SMA at the moment doesn't fit the budget.
    Again, I appreciate the effort.
