Any weird/crazy co-workers in your company

Ping-pong is what the guys play during breaks, and its very fun to watch.

That is until someone doesn't like something or starts to lose, and he starts cursing and throws a tantrum (Throwing or kicking things).

Anyone else have someone like that at work. I was just wondering.

  • Here's a good one..

At a previous company (precision aircraft parts, clean, really legit place to work)... We had a 55 -ish year old guy who was a machinist & he worked directly across the aisle in the shop from another machinist who was a female in her early/mid 20s. She went to school, took good care of herself, worked full time + OT at the company, had a boyfriend, & was a really a nice woman. Our male protagonist was a chain smoking, politically angry, unibomber-esk type of guy. Because they worked in direct proximity to one another, they communicated a few times in a usual conversational manner. Of course the dude understand that to mean "she likes me".

Her boyfriend got a great job offer out of state & she decided that she'd move with him. So, she gave her two week notice at the company. The notice was well received, the company wished her the best and asked her to work her final two weeks. While working her final two weeks, word spreads that she's leaving, our boy decided it was time to make his move.

This dude walks up to her while she's running a machine, has her pause her cycle, and says to her "When I was just staring out in the business, the old timers gave me some tools to help me get started out. I figured I could do the same for you". And then proceeds to hand her an 6-8" knife that was hand made ( I'm talking forged the metal, widded the handle, engraved it too, easily a $200 item if you bought it). Confused, a bit weirded out, she takes it and thanks him, and then leaves the area. After processing everything and realizing she mad a mistake by accepting it, she gave it back to him and told him she didn't feel comfortable with the gift. He proceeds to then ASK HER TO DINNER. She says no and then walks away.

He then proceeds to go around telling everyone a whole bunch of weird stuff about her & that she's leaving because she's in love with him and can't stand the fact that him and his ex are getting back together and that is in fact why she has to leave the state. He even asked to have his shift changed to "make things easier on her while she's still here".

I think he was suspended, she worked out her remaining time and left on good terms and is doing well, idk where he is now, and everyone had to take Harassment Training. This was a few years ago. The whole situation was totally cringe-y to say the least.
