Goodbye world; new job

Just a quick post to say goodbye to all of you guys. I am incredibly greatful for all of the help I have received here. I will probably continue to troll occasionally, but for now life has put me back into CNC programming/ setup. I am a jack of all trades. Master of none. Just when I was getting back up to speed...

Good luck everyone!

  • I spent ten years as a machinist; CNC & manual, program & run...two of those years as a toolmaker. Have my pretty little certificates from the community college for machining and welding. Seems that these days nobody wants a skilled machinist, at least not around here. They want a few salaried guys to sit around and do the brainwork while the guys on the floor are treated as operators and paid accordingly, regardless of skill level. That's why when the door opened to the Q.A. world, I gladly stepped through it. At least I get to use my brain in here instead of just doing repetitive tasks all day and trying to make rate. Maybe someday I'll get a home shop going and get back to occasionally making chips.
