Show hidden files & folders is checked but no candies. The file I'm looking for is gbarstate.dat v2014 and I know this file is not hidden but in a subdirectory that has a lock on it. when this directory is found then I can play with it. Thanks Matt!
So essentially you're looking for a file, but don't know where it's at? And even if you did, it's locked (password protected? or you can't edit? or..?)
What if you did a Windows Search for the file?
So essentially you're looking for a file, but don't know where it's at? Yes, gbarstate.dat file
And even if you did, it's locked (password protected? or you can't edit? or..?). No it's not password protected, once it's found I can do whatever I want. I believe the lock is there to prevent search function to look into that directory
What if you did a Windows Search for the file? I did a window search and it says "No items match your search"

If you're looking for gbarstate.dat, but don't quite know the version or the name, etc, in Search type:
*gbarstat*.dat
This will find the phrase "gbarstat" with an extension of ".dat".
Doing so on My Computer (rather than the C:\ drive) will search all drives, files, and folders (including text documents!) for this text. The same can be replicated on a server, with multiple shares
