Things are getting out of hand here at work! A CNC guy took vacation to Iceland and returned today and the company told him to go home and call in next Monday to see if he could com back to work! He wasn't sick he went out of the country and came back. Oh boy
They have shut down my gym (Pavilion) down for 2 weeks, they say because they care about our well being, but they are going to open it up Tuesday, tomorrow because your health is not important enough, because you need to come in and vote, I guess it's not serious enough to avoid a crowd of people for voting, once you get your vote in, then you may go home and die for all we give a shi_t.
Maybe this is my way in to getting to work from home. Ive been asking so I can help us get caught up on programming but they don't want to pay for the security required (aerospace/defense). Fingers crossed...
Hi guys, for people that are shutting down-do you shut off your CMMs? We don't know yet what we'll be doing at my company-but if we have to shut down, should i make sure my machines are off? i've always been advised to not shut down
If you shut down for two weeks, I would shut the machine down. Lower the head all the way down and rest it on some foam so if you lose air pressure/something during shutdown, your machine won't be damaged.
