Things are getting out of hand here at work! A CNC guy took vacation to Iceland and returned today and the company told him to go home and call in next Monday to see if he could com back to work! He wasn't sick he went out of the country and came back. Oh boy
Depends on the CMM... On a Global, there's an solenoid valve which cut the air to the air bearings, so if you shut down, the gantry press on the granite.
Not sure it's very good for the geometry.
On old Chameleon, Xcel (...), the air bearings was powered by air even if the controller was off.
unless the air is off. can't imagine a company keeping the compressors running if no one is there. If the shop is closing, park the machine, turn off the air, power down the controller.
rotate it A90B0 that way you can lower it all the way down, don't worry about when you start it back up, it will NOT rotate when you start it back up, when you home it, it will go straight up in Z, technically at this point of the homing, it doesn't recognize the knuckle or head or whatever you call it.
KIRBSTER269JEFMANMatthew D. Hoedeman I have Sheffield and Mitutoyo machines. i barely ever shut them down, so i wasn't sure when it's for a longer period of time. Thank you all for advising
KIRBSTER269 : Hi Kirby, for now, all is fine...
I look at the stats every day, there're strange...
Comparing the number of deaths people to the number of cases and the number of recovered gives very different results for differnet countries which are not very different one to the other...
Yesterday, for around 7500 cases, Germany had 23 deaths, France 175, and Spain was at 290 deaths for 7800 cases on the 15th...
USA 108 for 5800...
Hard to understand.
