Discus vs inspctionxpert?

has anyone use DISCUS OR INSPECTIONXPERT? which one is better?
What have you found easier to use for first articles reports.

  • Hey Kirbster26.....Quick question on how you are exporting your data. I was using print command in the report window and then outputting a .TXT file. But seems recently the .TXT is not able to output the feature control frame information. I have attached a snipet of my .TXT file. Wondering if I just have a formatting issue.





    Export your stuff from PC-DMIS as a Text file. This is just an example of things you have to put in the Demon Comment/Report .[balloon number]
    positions Require a little more info. You can see on the bottom one balloon number identification DF= Diameter feature, Y= axis <the basic number if you want. Z=axis<same as Y

  • Can you post your code from your editor, something is wrong, not sure what yet, without seeing everything
  • also when you report your dimensions one feature at a time, no multiples, in other words if you have 4 holes, report each hole individually.

  • So you must be using 2020R2? Because with the new Geometric Tolerance in your callout. It's not spitting it out correctly in TXT form. You might want to call up XpertInspection and ask them if they are aware of this. I'm using R1, No reason to move forward if all my prints are 2009 and older.
