Bored of programming

I have been in programming for about 6 years and feel like I am a bored of it right now.
I don't want to leave the field because of money and I do enjoy the work.

Do any of y'all ever feel bored of programming? What do you do to overcome the slump?

Time to step into the dark side! You mentioned the operator input stuff... very simple and boring right? Automate it with VB.NET or better yet C#, you will have 60 days to complete this challenge and as your reward you'll get to pick any item from https://www.keeps.com/our-offering. Good luck!

LOL I gave up on my hair back in march. Best decision I ever made!

I have programmed a little in C but I am pretty rusty. I don't know C# at all.

VB.NET is easy and closely related to the material in PcDmis but outside it's very unpopular. C# and/or Java is all over the interwebz... examples for days! C++ is my fav but it does terrible in OLE automation (what programming in PCD is mostly what is involved). I would consider C to be harder than C# syntactically but at the end of the day it's the understanding of how a program/system works. The syntax is the tool (tools are very important). You already have a leg up with C experience... what are you waiting for?
