Pappy's and Bogarts are really good in Missouri. But I prefer home cooked BBQ, I grill Pork Steaks, Brats, Burgers, some Hot dogs( ALL of the meats get BBQ Sauce, (unless its requested to not be) and the sauce is mixed with a bottle of my dads preferred beer. ) , Corn on the cob, Baked potato's, and Garlic bread. I soak the corn in salt water for 24hrs or more, and throw it on with the the husk on. I also make deviled egg's (I use ground mustard and smoked paprika in these) I make about 64 of them, potato salad, pasta salad, and regular salad.
Took a day trip to Austin, TX with my boss to visit the Keyence office/demo site on Friday. It was a 4 hour drive to and another 4 hours from. On they way back, instead of going through all the traffic in San Antonio, we took the scenic route through Lockhart, TX and stopped at
Black's BBQ. Busy little place, a little pricey, but overall very good bbq. I had some sliced brisket, rice and beans. Rumored to be the oldest BBQ restaurant in Texas.
