Anyone remember the Tutor to PC-DMIS converter? Translated everything except the critical stuff. Yup... a real timesaver.
Calypso converter seems a fine idea, but why would Hexagon spend time to create such a product (if at all possible)???
IMHO, they are not in business to assist folks who are in bed with a competitor's product. 2¢

I was only asking because it was a project that Hexagon decided to work on some time in the past few years. It seems development has stopped, and, to your point, I wouldn't blame them. It would be a nice feature to help end users that might be on the fence when considering switching to PC-DMIS, especially if they have a large library of Calypso programs.
A converter is possible. At one point I had made some decent progress on a converter of my own. Calypso programs are all encoded in a human-readable text file. A deep study and a lot of testing can be done to decipher the syntax.
Absolutely, Jacob! A large library of N (fill in the vendor) converting to N2 (the other guys) would be a godsend for any customer! I think if memory serves, didn't the Z guys offer a translator ?
Check out Origin Intl. They claim to do it. Calypso features PC-DMIS import and DMIS export as paid options.
I really do appreciate all of you that take part in this technical preview. While there is nothing wrong with banter, it might be better suited some other forum section like the Off Topic area. I would really like to focus these discussions on the upcoming PC-DMIS 2024.2.
Agreed. Sorry about that Don.
Does the PC-DMIS import in Calypso import the PRG file or does it need to have PC-DMIS active with the part program you want to convert loaded?
There is no Calypso import option for PC-DMIS
he said the Pcdmis import in Calypso, not the Calypso import in Pcdmis.
OK, sorry, I did not even know there was a PC-DMIS import in Calypso.
Calypso imports the .PRG file directly but you need to have a licensed and executable version of PC-DMIS on the machine.
