Vision - Edge Filtering Techniques

Hey guys,

I have about 4 "Round Slots" that are all within each other probably about 50µm bigger in diameter than the next. The conventional finding tools just are not working. I am still only touching the waters of customized coding but do any of you have any experience with using complex coding to customizing search fields.

Sorry I forgot to add that my main issue is that with my 10x lens the entire feature(s) fit into my FOV but it can't distinguish the different edges accurately.

Don't know if this will help but when i have something like this to measure on the comparitor/profile projector i use a marker to paint the surfaces to help distinguish the edges.

Image attached guys. There are hundreds of these holes and I need to distinguish and measure each one for each set of holes. Any ideas. Coloring or altering what I see isn't possible.

I also recently found out our OGP has a color scale whilst our Optiv only has gray which is very unfortunate because the OGP picks up features way better than our Optiv. I wish it was the other way around.

I feel your pain. I struggle to get good edges on an EDM'd hole in a cast surface with a "ramp" leading into the hole.
The black and white scale will grab anything shiny.
My best success is to run a fixed focal position established from a surface point.
With those tiny little steps though, I think you might have to find another way to inspect them.

use specified edge.

that's exactly what this is for. You can have a large ROI with a specified edge of 2 and it will find the 2nd edge, and 3rd edge and so forth.
