Need some help

I am new to using PC-DMIS and trying to write a program. I have aligned the part and taken my measurements. What do I need to do so that when I move the part and put a different(butsame) part on my table it will be able to automatically run the program? Will I need to do a manual align everytime the part is moved? Thanks in advance for the help.

  • You could do this with a readpoint. Look at this thread.
    Also search readpoint in the forum.
    Basically, you place the probe near a corner or a hole, align to that and run from there.
    The part has to be fairly square to the axis', but the location can vary.

    WHICH is still an alignment, there is NO WAY to put a part on the table, program & check it, then place it SOMEWHERE ELSE on the table without doing an alignment, no matter what type, it is STILL an alignment.
