Reverting actuals back to cad model

Hello all,

i have a question, the engineering department all the sudden wants me to check their cad models for them. The easiest way i have found is to write a program (which i would have to do anyways) offline to the model in cad. Then i of course print the report and viola! There is the dimensions of their cad model.

My problem is, they also want the checks to be done on older models that i have already programmed and ran actual parts online. How can i get the report to show the actuals that the cad model has, and not the actuals from the last part i checked.

Thanx in advance

  • SHOW PATH LINES also works, sort of, kind of. After you do SHOW PATH LINES, you then save, close, open, then re-enter the feature ID in the first dimension. Depending on the program, this can actually be faster than running offline.

BE WARNED! BOTH methods will set all actuals to the TARGET values for each feature, NOT the THEO. Now, normally, the TARGET values match the THEO, but if for any number of (VERY!) good reasons, you have changed a target value, THAT is what will show up in the result, not the THEO. Best example of a changed TARGET.... a hole that is very small, has a lot of tolerance, repeats like a dream, but, it not perfect, so you change the TARGET to the 'actual' location so it won't crash.
