Disable the probe changer?

Hey guys/gals!

I have a probe changer that works perfectly, but i have a part on the table that i am programing for that is so large that it intrudes into the probe changing area. This happens frequently enough that I need a way to disable the changer. What i have been doing is going into the probe changer setup box, and selecting "none" as my changer type. This works, but the downside is, when I want to reactivate the changer, i have to go back and do the alignment and such again.

Is there a toggle that I can't seem to find? Anyone else have a better solution?

Thanks,
Sam

  • Why disable the tool changer at all just make all the probes your using manual tool loads by taking them out of the rack slot list and when your done just put them back in the slot list. It sounds like your going to have to manually load your tools anyway.

    +1 to this.

And setting your probe changer to none should not require you to recalibrate your rack. Toolc.dat doesn't get rewritten unless you recalibrate your rack.
