Not meaning to be a jag off and I understand the OOT condition is more than likely bogus, but how does you putting the piece on manual machine that says it's "in" mean there is a problem at teh DCC CMM? Just asking you to step and back and review your trouble shooting process thats all.
Now, as Adam said, can you post some code so we can see what your doing?
