Calibration - Standard Deviation exceeds limits

I am having a problem getting my 1mmx27.5 probe tip to calibrate.

I have cleaned the 1mm ruby tip and the calibration sphere. I even changed out the 1mm tip with a new one.

Here is the report:

Why does the diameter keep coming out to 0.895?

That probe is WAY TOO LONG to get good, decent numbers everytime. There is just way too much flex in the shaft.

You can try slowing down the touch speed to 0.5 and see if it gets any better. HOWEVER, whatever touch speed you use for calibration MUST BE the same speed you use for measurements.
