Calibration - Standard Deviation exceeds limits

I am having a problem getting my 1mmx27.5 probe tip to calibrate.

I have cleaned the 1mm ruby tip and the calibration sphere. I even changed out the 1mm tip with a new one.

Here is the report:

Probe file=T-PROBE_T1X27_M2 Date=6/17/2013 Time=10:05:21 AM

T1A0B0 THEO X 0.000 Y -5.700 Z 124.320 D 1.000
T1A0B0 MEAS X -0.030 Y -5.615 Z 124.425 D 0.895 StdDev 0.013

Why does the diameter keep coming out to 0.895?

I suspect you have not defined the probe properly. Are you using all Renishaw or Tesa components in the build? Did you select them all from the "factory" probe list or did you customize some of them? Did you include the M3/M2 converter in the build?
