Calibration - Standard Deviation exceeds limits

I am having a problem getting my 1mmx27.5 probe tip to calibrate.

I have cleaned the 1mm ruby tip and the calibration sphere. I even changed out the 1mm tip with a new one.

Here is the report:

Probe file=T-PROBE_T1X27_M2 Date=6/17/2013 Time=10:05:21 AM

T1A0B0 THEO X 0.000 Y -5.700 Z 124.320 D 1.000
T1A0B0 MEAS X -0.030 Y -5.615 Z 124.425 D 0.895 StdDev 0.013

Why does the diameter keep coming out to 0.895?

  • Yea, my opinion is that it's a combination of flex and probe build. Trying to use a star stylus + that tip. It would be better if you had a tp-20 and a light force module but with that much weight on the end of it I doubt you would get any better results. When I use that stylus I never use any extensions or knuckles, and only on a TP-20 light force module.
