Just started at a new company a few days ago and they have a touch trigger scanning probe (sm25). I managed to set it up with no prior knowledge of what i was doing but all ive managed is single line scans. I dont have a CAD and need to know how to do a patch scan across the surface of the part. As of right now Ive managed to map the scan without issues but when I go to finish the feature and i goes to test it, the first point just jams into the part and stops. Any ideas?
The SP25 (I assume that's what you mean, the SM25 is a module for the SP25) is an analogue scanning probe, not touch trigger.
They're pretty expensive and fairly fragile, without proper training or prior experience you could be wrecking the equipment and / or getting inaccurate results.
