Crazy Scan Result!

Hi,

Any ideas on what might be causing the Profile scan results attached??

I have had results like this when the cad Findnoms tolerance has been set too low for the probe and the deviations the part is likely to see.

The tolerance should be set to at least half of the probe tip diameter. on a 2mm tip I usually go for 1.25mm

i have seen findnoms do this also. try using the find noms on selected surfaces only. the other could be the surface vector of the cad file. There is a way to check but i am not at a cmm
