What would different actual vs varying results tell me?
You could find the difference between an old position of the sphere and a new one if you didn't say "yes, the sphere move"...
But this solution would be an explanation if the scan was done with different tips, or at different times, with a calibration between start and end.
EDIT / GRAPHICS DISPLAY / CAD VECTORS. CLick on the surfaces you are scanning and " Fix Surface Vectors " Then "re"select your surfaces and "RE"-generate your scan.
it turns out when watching the program run, the scan is actually skipped! This happens running on one CMM. However, when I run the exact same part with the exact same programme on another CMM the scan does not get skipped and the part passes with no issues!
Any reason why this may be happening as I have no idea at all!
i have seen findnoms do this also. try using the find noms on selected surfaces only. the other could be the surface vector of the cad file. There is a way to check but i am not at a cmm
