is there any way to skip hole on a cone that has flats on it? i cant get it to rotate around even when i modify the start and end angles. Also, the path lines dont match the measurement strategy. not sure what exactly is going on, maybe i am doing something wrong? I am trying to do an analog scan.
tried that a few times. it is a new day, i will give it another shot. i have noticed similar little bugs with auto features before. but this was more consistent than those. I have also deleted the feature and recreated it. it is an igs model. i have verified all of the surface vectors are correct as well.
still wont work. i can use the default measurement strategy to move the hits around, but when doing the same for the adaptive cone line scan, it will not rotate. is this something that the scan will not allow? it does show the projected paths correctly except for the fact that my start and end angles are not matching.
Have you tried the "Void Detection toggle" in the measurement properties section of the auto feature dialog box? I use this all the time to avoid cross through holes in bores.
Show the hits on the cad and move them with your curser, failing that you could always measure it as a non auto feature. Just a thought have you locked all 3 axis ? if you have aligned an axis like X or Y that may give you problems with start and end angle.
none of them are locked. i am doing an analog scan, as far as i know you cant click and drag them around at all. only in ttp auto features have i ever been able to do that.
Did you try changing the measurement strategy to something else and then back again. see if anything changes. also just throwing it out there. Did you fix CAD vectors before you began. Shouldn't really be anything to do with it but just trying to cover all grounds.
