We recently switched from 2013 PC-DMIS TO 2017 R1 and have lost the calibration sphere data. I'm just an operator and have no idea where to start. Can someone point me in the right direction or at least tell me what we have.
Yes the diameter of the sphere is important. Name the sphere and enter in the diameter.
Your sphere is facing in the Y- direction. If is was straight at you it would be 0, -1, 0. Since there is an angle of 45 degrees, the shank IJK values, you are going to enter 0, -0.7071, 0.7071.
FYI, I had to review my notes. Calibrate in slow speed just to make sure there are no crashes and then re calibrate at normal speed.
