Inspection of gage dimensions

Hello everyone

I need to inspect some gage on a circular part as shown in image.
1st case : Diameter should be kept constant and distance to be inspected
2nd case : Distance should be kept constant and dimeter to be inspected

how should I proceed with programming for the same?

found torus but i'm not able to create it as per requirement
all is it asking is no of levels and it's generating automatically

can't we create it using construction

This looks like it can be measured as a cone, which would make it a lot easier for you. You have a nice, straight line coming from the left down into the radius.

Measure cone, construct circle at the [diameter], evaluate the distance to the diameter from the plane. Profit.
