I'm looking for a method that allows me to obtain the point of intersection between a line and a cloud of points (or a mesh) obtained through a laser scanner (see the attachment).. is this possible?
Ok, if it's not possible to pierce the COP do you have any suggestions? I need to measure the distance between a point in the space at specified coordinates and the surface of the COP at the same (y,z) coordinates (as illustrated in the attachment). I tried to get an automatic point on the COP clicking on the surfaces many times to reach the same (y,z) coordinates and then checking the distances but I think there is a more elegant solution. The fact is that the COP surface in that zone cannot be converted into any geometric features...
Use 'construct' and select 'feature set' and select your COP. Then pierce the feature set with a line at your desired locations, that should get you the 2 points you are looking for to then evaluate.
