I have to get a positional location (-A-|-B-|-C-) off a .028 diameter hole. The smallest probe (stylus) we have is .020 (.5mm)..... and of course thats , in theory, a clearance of .004 per side/radii... This does not seem to be working , because of the clearance. Does anyone know of a smaller stylus or a better way of inspecting? You know... with GD&T.... three datums.... if I use a micro-hite I am checking in two axis'. Ugh.... GD&T. Any help/ideas will be appreciated! Thanks
hahaha! Yes... I'll let quality know that I can only inspect in two axis' because a CMM wasn't always around. What truthfully wasn't ALWAYS around is GD&T
by all the comments with using a .3mm dia probe, this idea of pins sounds the bestest! Bad thing about this, though, is the 10 holes to plug. Thanks for responding!!
