pretty basic question: How do you measure a simple diameter without writing a program? I can beep 4 points around the circle and see they've been accepted in the lower right hand box, but I can't seem to get the diameter to calculate? Thank you.
-Click into the code for the feature you just created and hit F9
-Change number of hits to whatever you want and click OK..click YES that you want the hits to equally spaced
-Click into code above the feature and INSERT/DCC Mode
-With probe still physically in the bore, put curser at top of code and then hit CTRL+U
When using a DCC CMM, you'll get far more accurate results with the machine probing instead of the operator because its impossible for operator to make it touch at the same touch speed that the probe was calibrated at
