Legacy dimensions show profile deviation as the sum of the plus and minus deviations. +.010 deviation and -.005 deviation will show a measured value of .015. That's why only half of the scale on the left is red. Only the deviation in that direction is out of tolerance.
Ok thanks. I'll turn that on for future. For this first article which I already ran I am putting on the FAI spreadsheet .0204 for the profile result. That makes sense, right? Since one hit point is +.0102
It's one of the several ways that PC-DMIS can report profile incorrectly. FCF profile changes with the version of PC-DMIS you use, but asking the software to use ISO avoids this particular error in many of the recent versions (2016 and later).
Just look at your worst-case min/max and double that deviation. I just gave up, export to excel, and process profiles, and datum shifts in a way that will be right because I'm controlling it.
