Auto Wrist Angle not working

I am using auto cylinder on a hole on these parts I'm working on. Then I hit F9 to go back into the feature and select the "Auto Wrist", then click "OK", and it does nothing. The window that supposed to pop up and show suggested wrist angle isn't showing up. What am I doing wrong? It shouldn't have anything to do with the funky compound angle alignment that I'm using to measure the hole, should it?

  • The auto wrist behaviour changed sometime around 2018. There are two settings editor keys that control this - UseNewAutoWristDialog & UseNewAutoWristLogic

The new behaviour looks at whether the feature can be accessed with the current tip and, if it can, PC-DMIS will not suggest a new tip angle. This was done to avoid unnecessary tip changes when measuring groups of feature that, although at different angles, can all be accessed with the same tip angle. For example, a series of three planes at 20° to each other.

If you want the old behaviour, set the settings editor key values to "False"
