Hi guys
so i have this simple check program of a guage ring where i measure it with mastertip, align to it and then measure it with all the other tips in my rack.
so the other day i noticed all the tips following mastertip had a deviation of 0.01mm in Y.
so i thought maybe someone had crashed the tip and then i re calibrated all my tips.
I ran the check program again and the results were the same!
the roundness of the ring is a few microns, so no shaft hits
and the calibration results were good too, between 0.001 - 0.002 std
needed a job, my dad was buddies with the head engineer here, who said he needed a 'computer savvy person'. not too many of those floating around in 1989.
yup. same place, same job. This old Validator has been DCC from the beginning, with a PH9 head. We don't do 'plate layout' here as it is all stamped sheet metal, no way to do plate, so, yup, straight to the CMM programming.
