I've got a part that is pretty cylindrical with an OD as Datum A, a front plane as Datum B, and Datum C is the axis of a hole that has a threaded insert installed. What is my best option for creating my alignment with this? Should I just use a read point for Datum C?
Measure the threaded hole (cylinder) using the pitch function to get the best centering available. A readpoint will leave you with a large amount of error from 1 run to the next.
