Good morning. Thaks for reading. I'm trying to measure a square slot on a cylinder. However, the slot is 'pitched up' on one side as to where the probe styli is taking the hits. The ruby makes great contact with the other side. I was cycling thru the options and I couldn't find anything for adjusting its 'pitch'. Would I have to just make some lines and create the feature?
Or is there a way to 'pitch' the auto square slot. Thanks for your time.
There's no tool for this, except possibly turning void detection on. Use individual points with formulas in the target fields, then construct what you need.
Using PC DMIS Command Mode...
-make square slot
-get the code into your edit window
-open the code up to show the hits
-type in different "z values" to make your own pitch
