Probe Calibration Error

I new to PC DMIS and to the company I would for. The company hasn't taken care of their CMM well. They had Engineers program it. This is a 4.5.4 SF with a TP20 probe system. The OS is 2022.2. The error I'm seeing is "Measurement Routine is using a time that has not been calculated recently enough". The Engineer's didn't calibrate the probe or clean the probes. When I started working at this company I clean and calibrate the probes once a week.

Does anyone what could be causing this?

  • Open the Probe Setup dialog box, from the Probe Utilities dialog box (Insert | Hardware Definition | Probe), click the Setup button.
    • To set the "Calibration Validity" error, you can type the number of days in the Calibration Validity - tips not calibrated for (days) box. If you set this value to -1, the Check Calibration Limits command does not check for this error.
    • To set the "Calibration Interval" error, you can type the number of hours in the Calibration Interval - tips not calibrated within (hours) box. If you set this value to -1, the Check Calibration Limits command does not check for this error.
  • Thank you. With my previous experience with CMM OS systems, I knew setting the day would be the solution. I didn't know about the -1 value.
