Edge point parameter, how to set parameter more accurate measuremwnt for sheet metal body parts ex Spacer indent depth etc ..
Try a cylindrical probe and not use edge points on sheet metal parts?
Whoever employs you will likely jump at the chance to speed things up and save money.
And read the descriptions in the help file, it worked wonders for me when I first started! (when in doubt try YouTube University, someone can explain most PC-DMIS functions with words and moving pictures)
How to calibrate cylindrical probe? SAME as Ruby sphere probe..Master is sphere steel.ball.ok?
A downvote from you and a request for more information? Must be my lucky day!

We can use Edge point with surface mode option is ok.sample hit take on surface ,from that reference edge point will move.my option is correct.pl.reply
Just make your own edge points, since the canned menu isn't very adjustable. This means 2 or more regular old points, using formulas in the target values.
My option is ok.or go.to cylindrical probe to be used,Which is better?
stick with a ball probe. While there is an option to 'calibrate' the shank, there is no place within Pcdmis to signify that you are using the shank for measurements. The further the probe is away from 100% perpendicular to the edge, the more error you are adding to the results as ALL data comes from 'the ball' of the probe.
ALSO, I would suggest you get out of the habit of using a surface sample hit for the edge point, instead use a VECTOR (or surface) point on the surface next to where you want to measure the edge, and measure the edge point relative to that point. ALL data for an edge point comes from the 'corner' of the surface you click on to make the edge point, Pcdmis can NOT see if the surface is a radius, all it sees is the XYZIJKI2J2K2 at that exact point on the edge where you clicked, so the sample hit will give you a 'false' position if the surface isn't flat.

Which auto featurw should use for trim.edge of sheet metal parts vector point or surface point?
