PC-DMIS 2023.1 - Three bugs with the auto point self centering strategy

Hello

I found three bugs with the auto vector point self centering point strategy.

  1. If you cancel the auto feature dialog of two different auto points (which use the self centering strategy) the second one will reverse to the default strategy.

  2. The cut vector saves the input value even when hitting the cancel button

  3. the cut vector doesn't get recalculated when pasting with a pattern

Especially the first bug is a huge annoyance as we got wrong results when we don't notice the strategy changing by itself.

  • Yes, I fully agree. But this is exactly how the other scans (linear open and center scan) work right now.

They change the cut vector if needed and if not they leave it.

I mean if the cut vector is K = 1 and my workplane is in Z+ rotating the the point around will always keep the cut vector at 1.
The problem now is, that my cut vector J = 1 while my workplane is in Z+. I would expect the cut vector to change when my pattern is a rotational offset.

I can't imagine an occasion where one would not want to change the cut vector in this case.

Because of this I still think this is a bug (or bad design) and should be fixed.
