Does anyone have a STEP or QIF practice cad file with Model Based Definition I can play around with? Thanks

I'm interested in learning about Model-Based Definition. I would like to try and insert a CAD model with machine readable MBD made in like SolidWorks or Creo to PC-DMIS. Any discussion about MBD and your experiences are welcomed.

Look in your CAD folder (C:\Users\Public\Documents\Hexagon\PC-DMIS\version\CAD). There should be a couple of Hexblock models...

HexMI_DemoBlock_Small_PMI_Inch.CAD

HexMI_DemoBlock_Small_PMI_mm.CAD

.

There is also a LeicaDemoTool.CATPart model containing PMI but you need a Catia license to open it.

From 2023.2 onwards we also include a HexMI_DemoBlock_Small.qif model with PMI but, again, you need a QIF license to open it.
