Where do I start? I have the probes. I am currently running version 2009. Is it possible to you the non contact probes with this? How do you calibrate them? Any info would be much appreciated!
Noncontact is typically vision or laser inspection. Any probe that you have will have to contact the piece being inspected. I think you're looking for Contact inspection practices.
I have 3 probes. 25mm 75mm and 100mm. I do not have any (armdata?) for the probes. Cimcore arm utilities recognizes the 100mm non contace probe as a different probe. I was hoping to measure hydrualic tubes, and bends in plate steel. I am not sure if I have the correct software as stated above. I have a old copy of Supravison but no licence. Again any information would be much appreciated.
Wolf those are contact probes, not non contact. As Bill said if you had the Laser Attachment, that would be non-contact. What does the cimcore software say when you load the 100m long probe? It should give you a probe number and the diameter of the probe's sphere. What does it say when you load the other two? Where did you get this arm and do you have tech support available from Romer?
It sounds like wolf84 has non-contact tube probes. The word 'probe' is used liberally in this case since there is no ball, they are shaped more like a tuning fork and pass around a tube to record its location.
