Make certain all threaded connections are tight and the ruby is not damaged or dirty.
I have a 3mm probe that has a damaged Ruby, where/ how do I get it repaired. Thanks
You can replace the stylus only, just make sure that it is of the same length / ball size and material (e.g. M2, 3 by 10 ruby ball, tungsten carbide stem) ,tighten securely and recalibrate. I have done this for the legacy style probes, don´t know if the TKJ style probes also uses standard Renishaw styli.
Do you guys have a link or address? Im also looking for a probe with a point also, Thanks
I have always kinda wonder how to calibrate those probes with just a point? What would it be used for just out of courosity. Have never found a application for why I would have to use one.
