Alignment with surface points with Leica 901T Laser tracker

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum and to the leica tracker using Pc-dmis 2012 mr1.

I would like to know how you create an alignment using 4 points for a plane,
a hole for origin and a slot to create my line for direction.

As I am using a manual T-Probe to measure, what is used to drive or find the proper point. as of know I am using the Probe read out window,
to find the X&Y axis and measure my "Z" axis but is is never right on the proper nominal.

I hope you understand what My question is. Thank You for your help.

  • The xy position is not very important for a Z plane. Just measure the 4 points to represent the plane, then level on it and origin on it. Measure the slot and the circle, creat the origin XY on the circle. For the slot, you should check if the axis is the slot axis, or if it's a line from the circle to the slot.
