Alignment with surface points with Leica 901T Laser tracker

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum and to the leica tracker using Pc-dmis 2012 mr1.

I would like to know how you create an alignment using 4 points for a plane,
a hole for origin and a slot to create my line for direction.

As I am using a manual T-Probe to measure, what is used to drive or find the proper point. as of know I am using the Probe read out window,
to find the X&Y axis and measure my "Z" axis but is is never right on the proper nominal.

I hope you understand what My question is. Thank You for your help.

  • Your T-Probe if I remember correctly understands the I/J/K vectors relative to the tracker through the probe cal and the position or direction of the probe. If I remember right it follows the same ideals of a portable arm. Also I wouldn't suggest using the slot as the rotation as they are somewhat inconsistent. If you have to do as Jefman suggested and measure the circle and the slot and create a line between using that to rotate from.
