Error code 3 and 7

HELLO EVERYONE,

I AM RUNNING ON PC-DMIS 2019 R1 SP2 AND USING ROMER ABSOLUTE ARM 7252 6-AXIS.

SINCE LAST FEW MONTHS I AM KEEP GETTING ERROR CODE 3 AND ERROR CODE 7 EACH TIME I EITHER SAVE AS AN EXISTING PROGRAM OR SAVE THE PROGRAM AFTER EXECUTION TO SAVE MY DATA.

99.9% TIME I GET ERROR CODE 7 WHEN I OPEN A PROGRAM AND "SAVE AS" IT TO A NEW PROGRAM. IT SAYS SOMETHING LIKE THIS: "YOU CANNOT OPEN (FILE PATH OF THE CMM PROGRAM) FOR WRITING. ERROR CODE 7.

AND ERROR CODE 3 OCCUR RANDOMLY WHEN I TRY TO "SAVE" THE PROGRAM AFTER I FINISH SEVERAL FEATURES OR A LONG SCAN TO PREVENT LOSS OF DATA. IT SAYS THE SAME THING AS ERROR CODE 7. JUST CHANGE THE ERROR CODE 7 TO 3.

HAS ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? IS IT ANY KIND OF PERMISSION ISSUE?

FYI, I ALSO WHEN I CREATE A NEW PROGRAM, I TYPE IN PART NUMBER, REVISION # AND SERIAL # IN THE DIALOGUE BOX AT THE BEGINNING PART OF NEW PROGRAM, I GET ERROR SAYING "CANNOT ACCESS REGISTRY" FOR temperature compensation.

i have included images of all error codes I am getting. Please let me know what those error code 7 and 3 are for.

Thank you.

  • You are having issues writing to the registry....
Sounds like Pc-Dmis either was not installed correctly or started for the 1st time correctly..When you install the software it must be down with full admin rights..
first I suggest is if you have a pcdmis shortcut on your desk top that you right on it and then choose properties then when new screen appears choose advanced tab then select in the next new window place a check mark where it says Run as administrator then hit ok in that window and it closes that window
now the previous window shows again you must now hit apply and then ok..Now try starting pcdmis and open a file and try to see if it still gives you the same problems
