Hi all:

We have a FARO Titanium, and we are using the CAM2 software.
All those who have tried Cam2 and pcdmis in the FARO arm which one is a better and friendly user software?

Just want to know some peoples idea because we also have a DEA Gantry type CMM adn we still learning the pcdmis.

Thanks in advance.

  • IMO, the cam2 dimensioning is not as flexible. When measuring a radius, you need to dimension the rad or dia right then. This is not available later. Or at least not on the version that I was using. However, for the capability studies, cam2 was cool, because when using a Faro, finding the exact location to take your point is nearly impossible. But with Cam2, there is a Home in Point option and this creates and audible tone that allows you to locate the correct location prior to taking the actual measurement. I also had the Faro set to take an auto point when it got to the location.
