Offline vs. Online Programing

Question;
I am using PC-DMIS 4.3
When I write a program offline from a cad model all seems well.
I try to run it on the visio 300 and end up having to redo the manual stuff in order to run the program.
The manual surface points are off and th machine cant focus also on the edge points it wont find the edge.
I think i ma have a setting rong.

Re-check your Alignment! Does it know where the Plane is when it gets to DCC? JC

I cant even get to dcc I have to redo the manual stuff.
once i redo the manual stuff on the machine all else runs fine.
it apears that the Z is off bi 8.663 inches

Thats what you have to do every time you run a part. You have to run the manual alignment first (to show where the part is on machine) and then the DCC alignment takes over and your good. If the part NEVER moves.. you can go right into DCC mode, but it usually moves a little from getting bumped and etc.

When you work with CAD, don't forget to set your Z origin during manual alignment, maybe you made the focus with your eye, but it's a kind of measure.
Often people forget to set the Z with vision machine (it's not a 2D cmm, but minimum 2.5D :-)
