New to Vision....

We have a Vision system, something that I haven't used in any of my previous positions, and it's a great help except for one issue: it seems rather mediocre at picking out the edges of countersinks reliably. I adjust the light intensity, sometimes even make the light "off-center", yet I probably have a failure rate on c'sink diameters of anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2. I'm getting tired of constantly having to take the part OFF the Vision machine, just to put it on the comparator all for a single c'sink diameter that I SHOULD be able to get. What can I do, short of adding layout die and stoning the face?
