In the probe window / set up, there's a distance of approach along the tool axis. It works well for sphere, it doesn't work for the ring.
Where can I find a parameter that allows to go far above the ring, before auto calibration ?
Are you able to do a move point? Or will that not work?
Also, are you able to do an auto calibration with the ring? I have not been able to figure out how to do that. I have been doing manual calibrations following the chain of calibration.
Autocal works (with cmm_ve), you just have to define the parameter set A0B0.
Move point could work, but the problem is to define the ring location (QUALTOOLDATA("XYZ","ring1") which gives the location in startup alignment, and doesn't take into account the rotary table (see
http://www.pcdmisforum.com/showthread.php?30526-Assignments-enhancements-please).
Is there a way you could create a manual alignment to find the rotary table location and then get it's location in startup alignment to then apply that to your ring location?
